The Practice of Patterns

Welcome to a world of reflections gathered from an examined life. This is an outlet where moments of clarity have been attempted to be reduced into words and shared with those who still take the time to read and reflect on this peculiar phenomena we are all experiencing called life. Basically it is a collection of perspectives contemplating the experience of being.

As you read you may well find that some posts are strikingly similar, almost repeating themselves or that an argument in one contradicts the argument in another. The texts gathered here are written over many years and I rarely revisit them to check or revise but rather allow them to be a testament to two obvious facts: one, that things are always changing, and two; that all perspectives are in the end looking at the same thing: life.

If you enjoy these readings and would like to see more or engage in dialogue you can head over to Instagram, YouTube or check out the project of practical explorations on the Practice of Patterns.

Nothing expressed here is meant to offend or impress anyone and I apologise in advance for anything that may be of the nature to do so.

THE PERSPECTIVES:

In our nature

…on our separation from what is as a result of the mind’s nature to process information.

Lost in translation

…on what words can’t describe and what gets lost between experience and the description of it.

Blinded by the lights

…on the fear of leaving things alone allowing the experience reveal itself

Chaos and effect

…on the confusion between meaning and reason.

Jumping the fence

…on the unsafe tendency to lean against a structure made up of assumptions.

Ceci n’est pas la lune

…on getting caught in the web of thought and looking for information rather than sensation.

From your point of view

…on the self destructive nature of stubbornness and refusing to empty our shoes of pebbles.

Intentional pursuit of patterns

…on how mindfulness contributes to a healthy revision of our habits and conditioning.

Location independence

…on the bliss that comes with acceptance

My two cents is a bargain
